About JVB

JVB is a computer tool for reading and displaying the
verses of the Bible at big font size on your PC monitor in
a variety of different translations of your choice. It
provides advance searching capabilities which allow users
to find and display particular verses from Genesis to
Revelation by just a click of a button.

JVB  has a "Reference Viewer" window that allows user to
create, save, and display unlimited number of references.

JVB user can also create a list of verses (preset verses)
that can be saved to a file for future use. These preset
verses can be displayed, generated, copied and pasted to
other application like MS Office, Open Office, Notepad,
etc.

History

The development of JVB was started last August 2007 by
Jairus C. Cabuco of Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines as a
tool for displaying the verses of the Bible on big screen
during Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) series of
Grand Evangelical Missions at Cebu South District.

After countless hours of writing more than 12,000 lines of
Visual Basic 2005 codes and torturing all available search
engines that the internet can offer searching for
downloadable Bible text files, JVB was finally completed
last April 16, 2008 packed with a very ambitious
25-translation Bible text database (additional 5
translations in
Version 2.3).

JVB came out very useful not only for religious gatherings
but also for anyone who wants to read and study the Words
of God at full comfort and convenience of big font size
display and advance searching capabilities.

So that the whole world can benefit the usefulness of JVB,
the developer decided to create this website and publish
the JVB installation files for FREE download.
